Pembukaan festival dilaksanakan di Auditorium lama IAIN Parepare. Sebanyak 270 peserta yang terdiri dari siswa SMA Sederajat dan SMP Sederajat lingkup sesulawesi selatan dan sesulawesi barat.
Ketua Racana albadi' IAIN Parepare, Zuki mengungkapkan FTC ini merupakan ketujuh kalinya digelar.
"FTC VII ini diikuti oleh tingkat penggalang dan penegak. Sudah 3 tahun terakhir Racana Albadi' mengadakan FTC se Sulsel-bar," ungkapnya.
Selain bertujuan menjalin silaturahmi, kegiatan FTC ini juga menjadi ajang sosialisasi kampus. Selama kegiatan berlangsung para peserta mendirikan tenda di lingkungan kampus IAIN Parepare. Rencananya, kegiatan ini akan berakhir pada 27 Februari mendatang.
